A former manager of a California Chipotle has been awarded close to $8 million in relation to a wrongful terminational lawsuit filed against the fast-food chain.

Jeanette Ortiz was accused in 2015 of stealing $626 in money from a save on the Fresno restaurant.

She asked to see the surveillance video they claimed to have, but was told it had been destroyed.

A Chipotle spokeswoman declined to touch upon the panel's resolution.

In an announcement, HSBC said it could replicate Cargill's end-to-end digital ledger transaction with the same counterparties. The transaction was executed within a record time of 24 hours, compared to the standard period of five to 10 days.

Chipotle's attorney Robert Hinckley had a weak defense when he said it was not company policy to show video evidence to employees and that the footage was destroyed by accident. Now she can be called a millionaire.

Ortiz was making $70,000 a year as a general manager and was in line for a promotion that would've bumped her salary to at least $100,000 according to The Fresno Bee.

Ortiz filed the lawsuit and claimed she was terminated because she took a medical leave, the fourth during her employment.

During his closing arguments, Ortiz's lawyer Paboojian said she had experienced intense anxiety and humiliation, which was interfering with her sleep cycle and everyday life. Jurors awarded Ortiz $6 million for emotional distress and $1.97 million for loss of wages, according to the Bee.
