Actor Vince Vaughn was arrested on suspicion of DUI in California overnight, authorities said.

The "Swingers" star was picked up in Manhattan Beach, about 20 miles southwest of Los Angeles, according to police records that only show Vaughn faces a misdemeanor charge.

Details surrounding his arrest have not been released, but he was reportedly stopped at a checkpoint with a passenger in his vehicle.

We're told Vaughn is still in custody right now.

His passenger, a male, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication as well as resisting, delaying or obstructing police, he said.

The arrest occurred at 1 a.m. Sunday and is Vaughn's first DUI arrest.

The actor has been charged for DUI before, however he was arrested in 2001 over a bar brawl in Wilmington, North Carolina, during which actor Steve Buscemi was stabbed.

Metro.co.uk contacted Manhattan Beach Police Department and reps for Vince for comment.
