Trump SLAMS Canada’s Trudeau Over G7 Comments — ARCTIC BLAST

Following a Twitter tirade against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mr Trump was censured by both French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Sometimes described as a "mini-Obama", not least due to his omnipresent smile, Trudeau is clearly far closer in his political alignments to the US Democratic Party than Trump's Republicans.
Mr. Trump's tweets taking aim at the leader of a country that has always been a United States ally came after the President left the G7 summit in Canada to travel to Singapore ahead of a planned diplomatic meeting with North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un, CNN reported.
Still, other Trump advisers had taken up the attack in appearances on Sunday's news shows, leveling more withering and unprecedented criticism against Trudeau, branding him a back-stabber unworthy of Trump's time.
"If they retaliate, they're making a mistake", Trump said.
Kudlow said, "That's correct. Kim must not see American weakness".
Justin Trudeau may be the annoying, youthful avatar of chic progressivism - but he's not our adversary.
And the young Canadian leader, who has attempted to maintain a public facade of friendship with the USA leader, confirmed that he would regretfully impose retaliatory tariffs on US goods from next month to offset the steel levy.
White House aides fanned out over the weekend to try to lend meaning and justification to the flap.
Trump had initially roiled the waters by saying Russian Federation - expelled from what had been the G-8 after its annexation of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula - should have been allowed to participate.
President Trump says a G8 that includes Russian Federation is more meaningful than a G7, blames President Obama for letting Crimea 'get away'. "Canada has all sorts of trade barriers on our Agricultural products". Edward Markey (D-Mass.) said on CBS' "Face The Nation" that "right now, the President is actually driving our allies away from us as we need them even more, while welcoming in the Russians". The prime minister had played down divisions between the United States and the six other members of the G-7. As the summit host, Trudeau would not have wanted the four-decade-old G-7 to collapse in his country.
Mr Trudeau, in Quebec City for bilateral meetings with non-G7 leaders after the summit, did not respond to reporters' questions as he arrived, but his office pointed to Ms Freeland as the minister responsible for Canada-US relations.
Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland responded to the White House comments by saying that Canada will retaliate to USA tariffs in a measured and reciprocal way and that Canada will always be willing to talk.
"The dairy industry is vital to Western New York's economy and we can not sit around and continue to be taken advantage of by Canada's protectionist trade policies", said Collins, who lives in Clarence and represents a district that stretches westward to the Rochester suburbs. But it is something that we absolutely will do.
"We are polite and reasonable", Trudeau said, "but we also will not be pushed around".
Those were fighting words for Trump. He didn't specify what he considered false about Trudeau'sstatements.
"We will stand shoulder to shoulder with the prime minister and the people of Canada", said Doug Ford, the newly-elected anti-tax premier of Ontario and brother to the late crack-smoking mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford.
In a tweet posted Saturday evening, Trump said his decision to rescind support for the statement was based on "false statements" made by Trudeau during a press conference he gave, as well as "the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs" on US companies. "Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy".
Trudeau did not seem eager to match Trump's rancor.
June 7 - On the eve of the G7 summit, Trump tweets that Trudeau is "being so indignant" in bringing up the history of U.S.
"I don't know where we're getting the people to actually make this happen ... which will increase inflation and costs [for Americans]". And in response, the European Union will impose counter-measures. "He's a pathetic little man-child".
Trump has drawn criticism in recent days for suggesting that Russian Federation rejoin the G-7. Sen.
The President insists he has slapped the levies on to hit back at charges imposed by other countries and has accused his allies of trying to milk the Us's economy. That's the key point.
"In general, it was an attack on the president", he claimed. "The president is barely out of there, on the plane to North Korea, and he starts insulting us". And what did Trudeau do as soon as the plane took off from Canadian airspace?
