We'll no doubt be back with more detailed thoughts soon, but until then, we have our first images from next year's Wonder Woman 84 (for that appears to be its official title) to chew on.

Images like these are, of course, meant to set internet chatter ablaze, and we can only speculate as to how Steve Trevor's made a return and how he's landed in the 1980s. Trevor was Wonder Woman's love interest and a military spy during World War I in the first movie. Narcos and Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal has also joined the cast of the film in a key role. The script is based on a treatment by Jenkins and Geoff Johns, who recently confirmed that the film takes place in 1984.

Additionally, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder are still involved as producers on the film alongside Jenkins, Gadot, Charles Roven, and Stephen Jones.

Joining her behind the scenes are several members of Jenkins' Wonder Woman team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (Amélie), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (Topsy-Turvy).

Check out the exciting first Wonder Woman 2 images below.

Yeah, that's Trevor looking like Huey Lewis and Wonder Woman faced with a bevy of screens (hint, hint, 1984) - all showing advertisements (which could tie in to Cheetah's wealthy character).
