The chemical attack in the enclave of the Syrian rebels Duma in April of this year have used chlorine, according to Reuters, citing preliminary results of a study of the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons.

But environmental and plasma samples didn't indicate the presence of organophosphorous nerve agents, the organization said.

"Along with explosive residues, various chlorinated organic chemicals were found in samples from two sites, for which there is full chain of custody". These results are reported in Annex 3.

"Work by the team to establish the significance of these results is ongoing", the OPCW added. In response, the United States, France and Britain conducted missile strikes on Syrian military installations.

Meanwhile, in a separate report the fact-finding team said it "cannot confidently determine whether or not a specific chemical was used as a weapon" in two earlier alleged incidents in 2016.

In April, they brought a group of Syrians to the global chemical weapons watchdog's headquarters in The Hague to denounce the reports of an illegal attack as fake.

He also said JLR was still keen to invest in the UK. 'This would be in jeopardy should we be faced with the wrong outcome. But it said many jobs could be at risk if the government does not secure a strong Brexit deal that promotes trade.

Rescuers and medics have said about 40 people were killed in an alleged April 7 attack on the then rebel-held town, which stirred worldwide outrage and led to unprecedented Western air strikes on Syrian military installations.

Syria and Russian Federation said no chemical attack happened and the incident was staged by a foreign intelligence agency to pressure Damascus in the face of army advances against foreign-backed terrorists.

Syrian President Bashar al Assad has repeatedly denied using chemical weapons during the long-running civil war, although the OPCW has previously documented the systematic use of banned munitions, including sulphur mustard gas and sarin.

"The UK publicly supported the White Helmets that are a branch of al-Qaeda and al-Nusra in different areas of Syria".

"From the information gathered during the two on-site visits to these locations, there was no indication of either facility being involved in the production of chemical warfare agents or toxic chemicals for use as weapons", the report said.

Last month, American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh told Russia's RT television network that Saudi Arabia and Turkey were providing al-Nusra Front terrorists with the basic chemicals used for sarin gas.
