FC Barcelona midfielder Paulinho has rejoined Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou Evergrande on loan.

Brazil's exit from the World Cup on Friday night enables Paulinho to focus on his future with the midfielder accepting that he has offers to leave Barcelona.

Barcelona are looking to free some non-EU spots in their squad with a fellow Brazilian, 21-year-old Arthur, looking set to join the club from Gremio in the coming weeks and Paulinho's sale will allow for that move to happen.

Guangzhou, who announced the deal on their website on Sunday, said the former Tottenham man has signed a one-year contract.

Wilshere set for West Ham medical ahead of possible move
Wilshere is a free agent after leaving Arsenal last month following the expiration of his contract at the Emirates Stadium. Previously, he had been linked with Fenerbahce , and Wilshere revealed that this was something he would be open to.

Paulinho scored nine goals in 49 appearances after joining Barcelona from Guangzhou Evergrande last summer in a €40m (£35.3m) move. He played in all five of Brazil's matches at this World Cup, contributing a goal.

'I chose to return to the Super League this time, hoping to bring more championships to Guangzhou and Guangzhou fans'.

Paulinho played 34 games and scored nine goals as Barcelona won La Liga last term, and started all five of Brazil's World Cup games in Russian Federation.
