The vodka surely hit the market at an unfortunate time, only a day before Dawn Sturgess, who had been exposed to "a large dose" of a toxin believed to be Novichok-class nerve agent, died in hospital.

The 45 year old was admitted to hospital on Saturday June 30th, suffering from the effects of the nerve agent.

His partner, 44-year-old Dawn Sturgess, who was also exposed to the substance, died on Sunday. He is in a critical but stable condition, and is now conscious.

The hospital said in a statement that "while this is welcome news, clearly we are not out of the woods yet. Charlie is still very unwell and will continue to require specialist, round-the-clock care here at Salisbury District Hospital".

The mother-of-three's family released a statement saying her death was "devastating" and that she was a "gentle soul who was generous to a fault".

A red Ford Transit van in which Mr Rowley was a passenger on June 30 has also been recovered and tested as part of the murder inquiry.

"I am hoping Charlie recovers and when he recovers he will be able to tell us and perhaps shed some light on it which will narrow our search dramatically".

King, Queen of Belgium, Emmanuel Macron to Attend World Cup Semi-Fin
According to earlier reports, Macron will visit Russian Federation to attend the semifinal match between France and Belgium on July 10.

The couple were found in their home, about 14km from Salisbury, where a former Russian spy and his daughter were poisoned in March.

Russian Federation was accused of targeting the Skripals in March but has denied involvement.

It is thought that Mr Rowley and Ms Sturgess were exposed to novichok 10 days ago through a contaminated item left behind after the attack on the Skripals.

Basu added that there was no evidence to suggest the couple had visited any of the Salisbury sites that were decontaminated in the four months since the Skripals fell ill.

A police officer stands at a cordon around a public litter bin next to a supported housing project in Salisbury on July 5 after two people were exposed to Novichok nerve agent.

Those locations are Muggleton Road, Boots pharmacy, and the Baptist church in Amesbury, and John Baker House and Queen Elizabeth Gardens in Salisbury.

Dame Sally said it is "particularly important" for families to take care as the summer holidays begin for children.
