London Mayor Sadiq Khan has granted permission for a giant inflatable figure depicting Mr Trump as a baby to fly over Westminster for two hours on the second day of the president's visit.

In a list of "actions to take", the warning recommended that Americans, "Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings that may become violent", "keep a low profile" and "be aware of your surroundings".

While tens of thousands of Brits are set to protest Donald Trump's visit on Thursday, one pub in west London will be welcoming him with open arms.

President Trump lands in London on Thursday night for a dinner in his honour at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Protesters are also expected to show up at Chequers, the prime minister's country residence, and Windsor Castle.

The "Stop Trump" march will travel through central London on Friday afternoon, before ending with a rally in Trafalgar Square.

A working visit - like the one Mr Trump is making - may include some of the same activities as a state visit, but there are small differences.

Mr Khan said he supported the decision taken by the Greater London Authority, adding that it was not for him to be a "censor".

He also said he had "always liked" Boris Johnson, who quit as foreign secretary on Monday, while he joked that his meeting with Russian leader Mr Putin in Helsinki next week "may be the easiest" part of his European trip.

On Friday evening, Trump and the First Lady whisk up to Scotland for a weekend of golf and relaxation - and more protests outside his resort.

Following his meeting in Brussels for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit today, Mr Trump will fly into London tomorrow, Thursday, July 12.
