For Trump visit, Brits try to boost 'American Idiot' to No. 1

Apparently not content with just flying a large balloon with Trump's "childish" likeness on it, protesters of Trump's in the United Kingdom are making attempts to push Green Day's hit single "American Idiot" to the top of the charts ahead of his arrival.

As it now stands, American Idiot is sitting at number 18 in the midweek charts. But in the UK, "American Idiot" was a smash, peaking at No. 3 in 2004. Trump arrives on Thursday for a four-day visit.

"American Idiot" is no stranger to the political scene as it was created a year after the Iraq War began when President George W. Bush was in office.

And can you hear the sound of hysteria?

1 for Trump's UK Visit has received more than 20,000 likes.

In past editions, he has been spit on and urine has been thrown at him during the race . "Of course it has been damaging. "It wasn't even technically an "AAF" (adverse analytical finding) and few people understood this subtle difference".

On part of the planned protests, there is also an inflatable Trump baby expected to soar over the capital city.

Representatives for the Official Charts and Green Day didn't immediately return INSIDER's request for comment. But last week the band's official Twitter account retweeted U.S. Sen. After reports emerged indicating that Trump had gifted Kim Jong Un with a copy of Elton John's song "Rocket Man", Kaine joked that the North Korean leader sent back a copy of "American Idiot".

Michael Pritchard, known professionally as Green Day's bassist Mike Dirnt, responded to the protest campaign back in April. He saw the Broadway musical inspired by the song in 2010 and tweeted about it, calling it an "amazing theatrical experience".

Of course, given the long, agonizing stretch English fans have experienced since the country's last World Cup win in 1966 (basically global soccer's version of the Chicago Cubs' infamous World Series drought), the "American Idiot" pranksters probably won't mind.
