Elite military and divers from several countries entered the cave on three separate days to bring out the boys one by one.

The boys, aged 12-16, were the first to be extracted on Sunday and Monday, while the final four and their coach spent a 17th night inside.

Information on the rescue operation, the health of those rescued - and their identities - has been tightly guarded by Thai authorities.

All 12 boys trapped underground in Thailand have been rescued following the "largest, most complex cave rescue in history". Some are not even strong swimmers, and have had to learn to dive in conditions that claimed the life of a former Thai Navy SEAL on Friday.

The new video from the navy does not include footage of the divers in the water with the boys, but it does show a team of people using pulleys, string and rubber tubes to haul a green, kayak-shaped stretcher out of a tight crevice.

Later this week, the Discovery Channel will be airing a one-hour documentary chronicling the team's weekslong ordeal: "Operation Thai Cave Rescue" premieres at 10 p.m. ET/PT on July 13. Medical officials told reporters that they're healthy, fever-free, mentally fit and "seem to be in high spirits".

The boys had good appetites but were mainly being given bland, easily digestible foods.

Narongsak Osatanakorn said Tuesday's rescue operation began at 10.08 a.m. and involves 19 divers. He said a medic and three SEALS in the cave, who've been looking after those trapped, will also come out. The diver who spoke to AFP said the boys were "groggy" but "breathing" when he helped to pull them out, while the BBC reported that according to divers, the boys were "heavily sedated to avoid anxiety".

Officials said all eight of the boys rescued so far were "good physically and mentally", though two of the four brought out on Monday had swollen lungs. Jesada said they were uncertain what type of infections the boys could face "because we have never experienced this kind of issue from a deep cave".

Eight of the boys have already been rescued, while four remain.

Family members have seen at least some of the boys from behind a glass barrier.

Four boys and their soccer coach remain in the cave. Each of the rescued boys has been guided through the dark, narrow cave by a pair of divers. But they also warned heavy rain could hamper their efforts.

Musk has been tweeting about the rescue mission for the last few days. It will become another major attraction for Thailand. He posted photos of the cave interior and a video showing people working their way through chest-high water.

The youngest member of the Wild Boar team in the cave is just 11 years old.
