A statement on the United States embassy website warns U.S. citizens to "be aware of your surroundings [and] exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings that may become violent".

Trump is expected to arrive after a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Belgium and will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May, meet Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle, and will attend a black-tie dinner at the home of former World War Two leader Winston Churchill.

May hopes Trump, who arrived at Stansted airport from Brussels, will help accelerate a future free trade deal, though his public comments on Brexit have cast a shadow over the visit.

Ian Blackford, the Scottish National Party's leader in the Westminster parliament, said he regretted that May's government would roll out the red carpet for Trump.

President Trump will head to London on Friday, where he's expected to face protests at every turn.

A giant six-metre-high blimp of Trump depicted as an orange baby in nappies is also expected to fly over the capital.

"Donald Trump could do perfectly fine doing rallies in the U.S.".

In an alert on Tuesday, the U.S. Embassy in London warned citizens about "numerous demonstrations" planned between Thursday and Sunday that could "attract large crowds" less than friendly to U.S. citizens.

But Jack continues to protest his innocence: "The facts are, I ended up kissing her on the lips, I have never denied that". Samira is set to leave the Love Island villa just days after her partner on the island, Frankie, was eliminated.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to protest against the president in London on Thursday and Friday - and in Glasgow on Saturday.

Trump postponed his trip several times as a petition to block him from entering the United Kingdom gained so many signatures that it was debated in parliament. That led roughly 500,000 people to sign a petition calling for Trump to be banned from entering the Britain. It was an extraordinary rebuke from a close ally.

It is not a state visit, so the President will stay with the U.S. ambassador in London instead of being hosted by the Queen.

May will host a black-tie dinner for Trump at the stately home that will be attended by senior ministers and about 100 business leaders, including the likes of Blackstone group, Blackrock, Diageo, McLaren and Arup.

The two leaders will hold talks at the Prime Minister's country residence of Chequers where Russia, Brexit and the Middle East will top the agenda.

Over a lunch of Dover sole, lamb and lemon meringue pie, the leaders will discuss Russian Federation, trade, Brexit and the Middle East.

From there, Trump and his wife Melania are expected to travel to Windsor to meet Queen Elizabeth.

10 Downing Street said she would be meeting with schoolchildren and veterans on Friday, accompanied by Philip May, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May's husband.
