MORE: Woman arrested in brutal brick beating of 92-year-old man in WillowbrookRodriguez said he did not do anything to provoke the attack.

Police are still searching for the four men seen in the video attacking Rodriguez.

Detectives arrested Laquisha Jones at 10 p.m. Tuesday, near 60th Street and Crenshaw Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

He has since been released from the hospital to recover at home, reported the station.

A neighbour had filmed the assault and told United States media that the woman who hit him said: "Go back to your country". While Rodriguez was getting assaulted, he could only hear people's voices but couldn't make out what his attackers were saying, he said. 'I just passed her, and she pushed me and she hit me until she was done'.

Borjas had been driving by, she said, and wanted to stop, but the woman threatened to hit her vehicle with the brick.

A witness who stopped to snap a photo of the attack reported the woman yelled "go back to your own country" at Rodriguez, who is a legal US resident, according to KTLA.

Los Angeles Police arrested a woman Tuesday for allegedly attacking an elderly Latino man with a brick and yelling "Go back to your country".

Rodriguez, who does not speak any English, suffered bruises all over his body, a broken cheekbone and broken ribs.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted Wednesday that member countries have already been increasing their defense spending. He continued: "Nato is much stronger than it was two days ago".

A motive for the attack remains unknown, the newspaper reported.

Investigators initially believed Rodriguez may have bumped into a young girl with Jones when she started to assault him.

"But that's not true", he told CNN about the woman's allegation, through tears.

Borjas instead called 911 and took a picture of the woman, which she shared with police and put on social media.

When FOX 11 asked the witness about this on Wednesday, she said she stands by her previous statements.

"I can't walk anymore", Mr Rodriguez told CNN in an interview.

"When I tried to videotape her with my cell phone", Borjas said of the attacker, "she threw that same concrete block, tried to hit my auto".

A GoFundme page set up by his family to cover medical costs has already received more than $260,000 in donations. "She did hurt me, but I can not be an enemy and say I condemn her", Rodolfo Rodriguez told Eyewitness News during an interview at his daughter's home on Wednesday.
