The Manchester United midfielder was part of the France squad that lost 1-0 in extra time to Portugal in the Euro 2016 final, and Pogba hopes they can now go one better on Sunday.

"I have a love of football in my heart".

"Obviously, it (the World Cup) is not done yet. We are winning. It's always nice to win and it is nice to hear nice things about the team, about yourself and everything".

For France it'll be their second time, twenty years on from winning their first but Pogba believes they won't be getting carried away just yet after what happened in their last global tournament.

Federation Internationale de Football Association had invited the boys to Sunday's World Cup final although the world organising body said that due to medical reasons the boys would not be in a position to travel to the game, although they would invite them to an event in the future. I wouldn't say that I'm young - but I'm not old yet!

Instead, many will remember the PSG star for his dramatics as he regularly fell to the floor. He's the greatest thing to come out of Essex since Nick Frost.

"But I can improve and get better and better". I wouldn't say that I'm young but I'm not old, yet, and we are going through nice things and want to finish it.

"It's attractive, it's good, but there's still a step", he told L'Equipe. He played the game with great maturity.

"When Deschamps took off (Olivier) Giroud to bring on (Steven) Nzonzi, then Pogba had more freedom but freedom not to do silly things. He was very, very mature".

A defiant Paul Pogba believes he is proving at this World Cup that he is far more of a team player than the critics who accuse him of self-interest often claim and insisted no one could ever question his love for football.
