"He (Netanyahu) is an itinerant person who travels to somewhere in the world every day", Velayati told reporters upon his arrival in Moscow. As a result of the 2015 nuclear deal, a number of Western energy companies entered the Iranian energy sector.

"In these messages, our country's views and stances regarding the US' selfish and illegal behavior are explained to other countries", he said.

Qassemi said the letters are aimed at "emphasizing the importance of expanded relations between Iran and Russia".

Velayati hailed Iran's ties with Russian Federation on Wednesday as "strategic" and said he would deliver messages to Putin from Khamenei and Iran's President Hassan Rouhani.

Moscow has teamed up with Tehran to shore up Syrian President Bashar Assad's government, but their interests do not always converge.

Touching upon nuclear cooperation, Velayati said that a 1000-MW reactor have been established in Iran with the help of Russian Federation and two other reactors are under construction. However, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Tuesday the United States might consider requests from some countries to be exempted from sanctions.

But I had to let that go. "Not only was I not great on the course - I was not great after the round, either", Mickelson continued. He was assessed a two-shot penalty amid criticism that he should have been disqualified for such a willful violation.

Facing revived sanctions from the United States and the possible knock-on collapse of its business dealings with Europe, Iran is looking to Russian Federation and China for investment and to purchase its oil.

But European firms are reluctant to risk far-reaching United States financial penalties they would face for doing business in Iran.

While Israel has warned Syria against its relationship with Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday he "had no problem with the Assad regime" as long as the Syrian leader held up his end of the 1974 agreement. Asked about Netanyahu's visit, Velayati said: "His presence or absence in Russian Federation has no effect on our strategic mission in Moscow".

While speculations are rife about a US-Russia deal to put an end to the Iranian presence in Syria, coinciding with Israeli premier's visit to Moscow, Velayati commented: "Netanyahu's visit to Moscow won't have an effect on our strategic mission there" pointing out that "no one cares what the later (Netanyahu) will have to say" as he put it. He said Iran and Russian Federation will maintain their military presence in Syria to make sure terrorists will not resurge.

Trump and Putin are expected to discuss Iran's regional role and the Syrian conflict at a summit in Helsinki next Monday.
