Under the deal, Macedonia will become North Macedonia and Greece will lift its veto of its neighbor joining the European Union and NATO.

On Friday, July 13, as stated in the Russian Foreign Ministry's announcement, the Greek Ambassador to Moscow, Andreas Phryganas was summoned to be given the démarche.

Alexander Vinnik, a one-time admin of bitcoin platform BTC-e who was arrested in Greece a year ago on an worldwide warrant for cybercrime, has been ordered by a Greek court to be extradited to France. Winnick would remain under arrest in Greece.

The decision came a day after authorities in Athens confirmed that two Russian diplomats were being expelled for allegedly providing funding to Greek groups opposed to a name deal with neighboring Macedonia that paved the way for the former Yugoslav republic to secure an invitation to join North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

A Greek court supported France's extradition request for Alexander Vinnik, an alleged Russian hacker accused of laundering $4 billion of criminal proceeds through BTC-e.

The Russian news agency TASS reported that Vinnik's lawyers have been in the process of appealing to the Greek Supreme Court to drop their charges against Vinnik.

Greece's fragile left-right coalition under Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras recently lost two lawmakers who quit in protest against the Macedonia accord, bringing his parliamentary majority to 152 out of a total of 300 seats.

With the case heating up, there has been pressure on the Greek court from both the United States and Russian Federation to extradite Vinnik to the respective countries.

France sought Vinnik to face charges for money laundering, membership in a criminal organization and extortion. He has denied doing anything illegal, and remains jailed in Greece pending final decisions on the matter, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

French authorities indicted Alexander Vinnik following an investigation that described him as the operator of BTC-e exchange, which was allegedly used to launder more than 130 million euros for people involved in crimes ranging from computer hacking to drug trafficking.

Greece's justice minister is expected to decide where Vinnik will be sent after examining the competing extradition requests from France, Russia, and the United States.
