In their latest inconceivable action, the Kings traded their best defender in Garrett Temple to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Ben Mclemore is going with Davis to the Kings along with a 2021 2nd round draft pick and cash considerations, in exchange the Grizzlies will receive Garrett Temple.

Other than this puzzling move, the Kings have not completed any sort of transaction since the free agency period opened.

This ordeal was eclipsed Thursday by the announcement that Putin had been invited to the White House for a visit this fall. Nielsen said that interference was both with the election infrastructure and through the use of foreign influence.

The Kings will gain an extra $1 million in cap room from the deal, giving them $20.5 million, which is easily the most in the National Basketball Association.

A 7-foot center, Davis was selected 31st overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft and has registered 4.3 points (.593 FG%,.640 FT%), 3.2 rebounds and 12.1 minutes in two seasons with Memphis. Davis will join the crowded frontcourt of Kings that features second overall pick Marvin Bagley III, Skal Labissiere, Harry Giles, and Willie Cauley-Stein.

The former University of Kansas star captured the attention of the league when he finished as a runner-up in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during his rookie season. The 6-foot-6 guard also averaged 2.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 24.8 minutes. The 32-year-old Temple had a productive game last season averaging 8.4 points while shooting a career-high 39.2 percent from the three-point range. He played for Sacramento until signing a free-agent deal with Memphis in 2017. The Grizzlies needed an upgrade on the wing and got one in Temple.
