NASA posted pictures of Hague and Ovchinin undergoing a medical check-up at Dzhezkazgan's airport. One of the pictures showed Hague smiling and another had him sitting next to Russia's space agency chief Dmitry Rogozin. Both are reported to be in good condition.
Relations between the US and Russian Federation have been very tense in recent years.
NASA said that rescue teams have reached Hague and Ovchinin and they've been taken out of the capsule and were in good condition.

A senior Cabinet official says that Russia is suspending manned space launches pending a probe into a Russian booster rocket failure minutes after the launch.
After blasting into the sky from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the crew was forced to make a unsafe "ballistic re-entry" into Earth's atmosphere. Roscosmos also announced it is forming a commission to investigate the cause of the booster failure.
The incident comes as the USA has been making progress in its quest to end Russia's monopoly on manned flights to the ISS by encouraging private companies to conduct launches. Reuters Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin (R) and USA astronaut Nick Hague (L) disembark from a plane, after the Soyuz spacecraft made an emergency landing following a failure of its booster rockets, as they arrive at Baikonur airport, Kazakhstan, Oct. 11, 2018.
The rocket was carrying a Russian cosmonaut and an American astronaut who had set off for a six-month mission at the International Space Station, on a relatively rare two-man launch.
A transport plane dropped a team of paratroopers to the site to make first contact with the crew, while helicopters were dispatched to pick up the astronauts.
Before launch, Glover made a presentation about the mission, boasting about the reliability of the Russian-made Soyuz rocket the two were to launch in.
The rocket was launched from the Soviet-era cosmodrome in Baikonur, Kazakhstan.
The booster suffered a failure minutes after launch.
Nevertheless, officials in both countries continue to refer to space flight as a rare example of U.S.
