Jamal Khashoggi 'MURDERED and DISMEMBERED' in Saudi consulate according to Turkey

President Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan have joined the ranks of US officials raising concerns about the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. "I don't like hearing about it", Trump told reporters at the White House.

"As of now, I would say Mohammed bin Salman is acting like Putin".

United States officials have stated that they are following this case closely. "Is it possible for the Saudi Arabian consulate where the incident occurred not to have camera systems?" The consulate has other entrances and exits as well, and Saudi officials insist he left through one of them.

Khashoggi's fiancé told the authorities that he was required to submit his cell phone to Saudi officials upon entering the building - a practice that is not uncommon.

The Kentucky Republican, who's close to President Donald Trump, has always been a critic of the Saudi government.

Leman Yurtsever, a protest organiser and board member of the Human Rights Association in Turkey, said on Tuesday that they gathered by the diplomatic mission to defend the rights and safety of journalists.

Saudi Arabia, while not yet being an official North Atlantic Treaty Organisation member, is a prominent US partner.

The Saudi government issues a statement confirming Khashoggi is missing.

Turkish authorities suspect Khashoggi was murdered while inside the building, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan says he is now personally involved in the case. the BBC reported.

In the September 23 interview, he called Saudi Arabia's foreign policy "narrow minded", and ridiculed its crackdown on political Islam, urging the kingdom to realign its policy to partner with Turkey, a close Qatar ally.

The system will be exclusive to GameStop in the United States for $359.99, and it'll be available from November 2nd. These include the Reaper of Souls expansion pack and the Rise of the Necromancer character pack.

The 59-year-old Khashoggi went missing while on a visit to the consulate in Istanbul for paperwork to marry his Turkish fiancée.

Jamal Khashoggi's fiancee Hatice Cengiz said she believes he is still alive.

But the ultra-conservative kingdom, which ranks 169th out of 180 on RSF's World Press Freedom Index, has been strongly criticised over its intolerance of dissent with dozens of people arrested including intellectuals and Islamic preachers.

In his opinion articles, Khashoggi has been critical of some policies of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Riyadh's intervention in the war in Yemen.

A critic of the crown prince, Mr Khashoggi was living in self-imposed exile in the United States and writing opinion pieces for the Washington Post before his disappearance.

Khashoggi, a Washington Post contributor, had gone there on an administrative errand but "did not come back out" of the building, police had told the state-run Anadolu news agency.

Meanwhile, harsh reactions and demands for accountability are pouring in from US lawmakers of both parties, as well as from other Western governments such as the United Kingdom. Sen. Turkish officials have said that they fear the team killed Khashoggi.

General Assembly President Maria Espinosa Garces is also "very concerned" about Khashoggi's disappearance, spokeswoman Monica Grayley said.

Importantly, and not coincidentally, Qatari and Turkish interests have become increasingly aligned as Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE cut off ties with Qatar in June of a year ago, thus leading to claims on the Saudi side of the rift of "collusion" between Ankara and Doha.

Khashoggi covered al Qaeda as a foreign correspondent in Afghanistan and Sudan and was well known for his several interviews with Osama bin Laden.
