"When we met Vichai in Madrid [during a tie against Atletico Madrid] he was lovely, cheerful and happy".

Another supporter, Don Martin, said: "It seems like it's a celebration but it's one of the saddest days for the club".

The 20-year-old responded in the best possible way by producing a courageous header to give fourth-placed Spurs, who are now level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool, their seventh successive win over Palace.

Srivaddhanaprabha and four others were killed after his helicopter crashed outside the King Power Stadium following the Premier League match against West Ham on October 27.

Both teams will wear black armbands during the game, with a two-minute silence to be observed before the kick off, while Leicester's players will wear the tribute shirts in the first half and shirts with a poppy emblem for the second to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

"We will never be able to repay what he did for us - for me as his son, us as his family, everyone connected to Leicester City and beyond - but we are committed to honouring his memory and upholding his legacy", Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha wrote in a souvenir programme for Saturday's match.

Leicester, who beat Cardiff 1-0 in their first game following Vichai's death, had flown many of their squad to Thailand for part of the owner's funeral.

Two minutes of silence honoured the five crash victims and also marked the centenary since the end of World War I.

"I was on the side of the pitch standing, chatting with some of those closest to him that night and waved him off as he took off, like I almost always used to do after home games", wrote Schmeichel.

Claude Puel, Jamie Vardy, Wes Morgan and King also wrote tributes to the Thai businessman in the special match programme, while former manager Claudio Ranieri called Srivaddhanaprabha "generous", writing: "I think Khun Vichai will be remembered forever".

"What happened next will stay with me forever".

The sea of floral tributes placed outside the stadium in the aftermath of the tragedy had been relocated on Friday, with the help of more than 200 volunteers, to an area close to the accident site, where fans flocked before kick-off to pay their respect to those that lost their lives a fortnight ago.

Stories have emerged of Vichai's acts of generosity to the club's supporters and players and sizeable donations he made to local hospitals.

"It's not easy to prepare this game, but the togetherness between us all, it's a good feeling, a good energy, a fantastic strength", he said.

He admitted getting the players ready for the game against struggling Burnley had been tough.
