David Arquette's wrestling comeback took an ugly turn Friday when he participated in a so-called "death match" that left him bloodied and clutching an open wound, Fox News reports.

Arquette fought Nick Gage, who bashed the actor on the head with light tubes.

Yes, really. While that might have been a stunt to promote a film he was in - "Ready To Rumble" - the actor has actually been doing it pretty regularly since then. He returned to the ring shortly thereafter, but, according to PWInside.com, he later went to the hospital, where he got several stitches.

UK PM warns ousting her won’t make Brexit talks easier
If she fails, the risk is that Britain tumbles out of the bloc in March without any agreement to smooth the process. If 48 letters are sent, then a vote will be triggered and Mrs May could face a challenge to her leadership.

You can check out the match in the video below.

In addition to his acting, Arquette has been a professional wrestler, most notably becoming the World Heavyweight Champion in the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

Anyway, Arquette has since tweeted that he's fine and while the injuries no doubt look worse than they probably are, it's still definitely a lot of blood and pretty scary. In 2010, he made his WWE debut on "Raw", teaming with Alex Riley.
