The Indiana State Department of Health is urging anyone, who hasn't received their flu shot yet, to get one now. "The very young, pregnant women, elderly, and those with certain underlying health problems are at higher risk to have serious flu-related complications".

Seasonal influenza activity is spreading in Sevier County and across Tennessee and is expected to continue for months, so it's important for anyone over six months of age who hasn't had a flu shot this flu season to get one now.

Kris Box says although influenza activity remains at minimal levels, the virus can still cause illness and even death.

Because the virus is still sporadic, doctors say it's too soon to know how bad the flu season will be in Kansas. "By getting vaccinated you are protecting your family and those people you cross paths with every day". There is no need for an appointment, all a Veteran has to do is come to any of the Charleston VAMC facilities or Community Based Outpatient Clinics and request their flu shot. "Before you get together with grandkids and grandparents for the holidays, make sure you not only protect yourself from the flu, but your loved ones as well".

McMahon said there is a long term financial commitment to the XFL, and that the game play will be innovative and exciting. The inaugural XFL season will take place on the weekend of February 8-9, 2020 - the week following Super Bowl LIII.

While vaccination is the best protection, basic infection control measures can also reduce the spread of flu and should be taken whether or not individuals are vaccinated.

The most common symptoms of the flu include cold-like symptoms including fever, stuffy nose, body aches and fatigue.

Department of Public Health and Human Services officials said in a statement Monday there aren't many flu cases in Montana right now, but the number is expected to increase in the coming weeks.
