Today the Nokia 8.1 was revealed as a global phone, complete with an Android One version of Android Pie.

It is meant to be a successor to the critically well-received Nokia 7 Plus - not the Nokia 8 and/or 8 Sirocco with which it shares a numerical association. Luckily Chetan Cale, a gifted photographer and member of Nokia Community, was there to take some shots with it. The device is announced with a retail price of 399 Euros and will go on sale in the UAE on December 15 and other parts of the Middle East on December 20.

For the AirPods 2, featuring a new, wireless charging case, Kuo originally told us to expect them in the second half of this year. Kuo said that there will be improvements to the actual AirPods Bluetooth, along with the case upgrades, in the 2019 update.

The short clip has put a lot of emphasis on the camera's Zeiss optics with optical image stabilisation. The front of this device also sports the NOKIA logo on the chin. The Nokia 8.1's display also comes with a 96-percent NTSC color gamut, DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR video playback, 1500:1 contrast ratio and 500nits of brightness. While there is a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, the device also comes with face unlock support. Like majority of HMD Global's smartphones, Nokia 7.1 is Android One-certified, and thus offers a stock Android experience and faster OS/security updates. The storage may be further expanded up to 400GB using a microSD card support. Going by the prices of its current series and Nokia 7Plus, the 4GB variant will roughly cost around Rs. 18,000, the 6GB variant will be priced at approximately Rs. 21,200 and the 3rd variant will be priced at around Rs. 26,500. On the rear side, the handset boasts of dual camera setup comprising of 12-megapixel autofocus sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 5-megapixel sensor. The 13MP module is just a depth sensor. Around the front there's a 20MP "selfie" camera with Nokia driving their bothie shooting mode once more. The Nokia 8.1 supports connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ AGPS + GLONASS.

The frame of the phone is made out of anodized aluminum with a two-tone finish, available in Blue / Silver, Steel / Copper and Iron / Steel.
