CNN reported that Kelly, who is in the middle of a three-year, $69 million deal, will be paid the remainder of her contract - believed to be about $30 million.

In a statement to ET on Friday, the network confirmed that Kelly is officially out, almost three months after Megyn Kelly Today was canceled following the host's controversial blackface comments.

"The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC", according to an NBC News statement.

The 48-year-old television personality parted ways with the network following her controversial discussion of blackface worn for Halloween costumes.

Megyn Kelly and NBC News have finalized a multi-million dollar settlement deal, Mediaite has learned.

NBC has yet to make an official announcement on who will replace Kelly on Today's third hour, but meteorologist Dylan Dreyer teased the decision on Twitter earlier this month.

Netflix Sued In ‘Black Mirror: Bandersnatch’ ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ Lawsuit
Netflix has found itself in hot water over the first-ever interactive Black Mirror film, Bandersnatch . The lawsuit alleges Netflix pursued a license to use the term in 2016, but a deal was never closed.

"What is racist?" she said on the show. "Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was okay as long as you were dressing up as like a character".

She then defended a white reality star who dressed as singer Diana Ross, saying, "I felt like, who doesn't love Diana Ross?"

The final straw was her defense in October of Halloween costumes that include blackface.

Kelly gave a tearful apology on the show the next day. Her daily morning show, "Megyn Kelly Today", suffered low ratings, and her assertive style at times seemed out of place in the anodyne environment of morning television. NBC announced on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018 that "Megyn Kelly Today" will not return. She also briefly hosted an evening newsmagazine that didn't catch on with viewers.

Kelly's Sunday night newsmagazine program, "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly", was widely panned and discontinued after a short run in the summer of 2017.
