Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster N.J Washington Post: Trump golf course fires undocumented employees during shutdown

In 2016 Trump used the club for a speech where he promised to crack down on illegal immigration.

A dozen immigrant workers at one of President Donald Trump's golf clubs in NY who are in the US illegally were fired this month even though managers had known about their legal status for years, a lawyer for the workers said Saturday. He added, referring to one of the president's sons, "One had the keys to Eric Trump's bedroom".

Trump turned over day-to-day management of his business to Eric and his other adult son, Donald Jr., when he took the oath of office two years ago.

"We are making a broad effort to identify any employee who has given false and fraudulent documents to unlawfully gain employment", he said. "Where identified, any individual will be terminated immediately", Eric Trump told the Washington Post in an email.

The New York Times had first reported about Trump businesses employing undocumented workers for years, who, in fact also received generous tips from Trump and were rewarded from time to time for good work.

Victoria Morales confessed that there were other undocumented workers at the club and that at least two managers had been aware of their legal status. "They never said, "Your Social Security number is bad" or 'Something is wrong, '" Margarita Cruz, an employee from Mexico who worked as a housekeeper at the club told The Post.

He then joined her on the piano bench and wrapped an arm around her to finish out the final chorus together. Gaga is in Las Vegas for two residencies, Enigma and Jazz & Piano. "He made that movie A Star Is Born ".

"I started to cry", Gabriel Sedano, who had worked at the club since 2005 after arriving from Mexico before being fired earlier this month, told The Post.

The news comes after a month-long government shutdown where President Donald Trump demanded more than $5 million for a border wall and Democrats refused to give him even one dollar.

About a dozen chefs, housekeepers and waiters got the axe January 18, they told The Washington Post on Saturday, for providing fake Social Security numbers and green cards when they were hired as long as 15 years ago. "I had worked nearly 15 years for them in this club, and I'd given the best of myself to this job".

But the Trump organization is now getting rid of employees who were hired by submitting bogus paperwork. The workers have done nothing wrong but work hard while the club can break the law with impunity.

Trump also built his 2016 campaign partly on protecting American jobs. "They said they didn't have any comments to make".
