Oddly enough, that's the same day the Liberals drop their budget.

Liberal MPs ignored shouts of a "cover up" and "shame" from the opposition and voted together to end the meeting.

An emergency meeting of the Justice Committee investigating the situation was shut down nearly immediately by the Liberal majority sparking outraged cries of from the opposition of "cover-up", "disgusting" and "shame".

Conservative Michael Cooper says he can't believe the Liberals would shut down this meeting. Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre claimed yesterday that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is directing the Liberal members and said it should be called the "Justin committee" rather than the "justice committee".

"I never asked for this", she said.

NDP MP Tracey Ramsey added she thought Liberals were hiding behind parliamentary procedures because they had "something to hide".

"The committee has already expressed its wishes on March 6 to have this particular hearing on March 19 so it's as simple as that", he said as he left the room.

"Given this convention and the current circumstances, it is untenable for me to continue to serve as a Cabinet minister", Philpott explained as to why she felt the need to further distance herself from the Trudeau government.

When he testified, Butts put the dispute down to a series of miscommunications and misunderstandings.

"Canadians deserve to know what those event were".

"If they were going to let her speak, they could have done it today ... Justin Trudeau is transforming the justice committee into the Justin committee".

The Liberals have also used their majority to frustrate opposition plans to call other witnesses including Mr Trudeau's chief of staff, Katie Telford, senior Prime Minister's Office (PMO) advisers Elder Marques and Mathieu Bouchard and Jessica Prince, Ms Wilson-Raybould's former chief of staff.

"Canadians deserve to know the truth, they deserve a government that doesn't have one set of laws for their rich corporate donor-friends and another set for everyone else and they certainly are not getting either from the Liberals", said Ramsey.

The opposition also points out the committee did hear a second time from Privy Council clerk Michael Wernick and deputy justice minister Nathalie Drouin, after Wilson-Raybould's first appearance raised additional questions to pose to them.
