She is about 5-foot-5 and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, camouflage trousers and black boots, authorities said.

The 20th anniversary of the shooting at Columbine will take place this Saturday.

"It's a credible threat ... but she did not make it directly", said Jenny Fulton, a spokeswoman with the sheriff's office.

The FBI's Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force issued a notice Tuesday for police to be on the lookout for 18-year-old Sol Pais. The sheet also says, "If contacted detain and evaluate mental health status then contact Det".

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation say Pais traveled to Colorado on Monday night and was last seen in the foothills west of Denver.

"She can, please, come home".

Students were later released from class as normal, according to Jefferson County Public Schools. Some say they just want to pay their respects, but others claim they are in love with the shooters - or sometimes that they have been reincarnated with the shooters' souls.

The alert came four days before the 20th anniversary of the Columbine tragedy, in which two heavily armed teen boys stormed their high school in Littleton, a Denver suburb, and fatally shot 12 classmates and a teacher before committing suicide.

The FBI is now looking for a woman they say is "obsessed" with the Columbine High shooting.

Protesters also gathered at Marble Arch, situated at the end of Oxford Street, at Piccadilly Circus, and Parliament Square. But activists camped overnight to ensure blockades continued at Waterloo Bridge, Millbank and Oxford Circus.

"Please do not approach her as she is considered armed and risky".

The Colorado Department of Education encouraged schools in the metro area to go into a lockout and run a controlled release of students at dismissal. As the district prepares for the day's memorial events, it is fending off an onslaught of curious strangers who trespass in the parking lot of the high school - sometimes more than 30 people in a single day. (9news) The lockdown of Columbine High School comes just days before the 20th anniversary of the massacre that occurred there that killed 13 people.

Authorities are searching for an armed woman in connection with alleged threats that led to lockouts at Columbine High School and almost 20 other Colorado schools, officials said Tuesday.

Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Sol Pais, whom they said travelled to Colorado from Miami and threatened the schools.

"If we found her tonight, we will certainly hold her for as long as we can legally", Phillips said.

Schools throughout the city of Denver, Colorado will shut on Wednesday as authorities search for an "extremely dangerous" woman.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Pais traveled to Colorado Monday night and made threats.

School officials say the doors were locked but classes were continuing Tuesday at Columbine and two other nearby schools and at other schools farther away in the district.

They include the Douglas County School District, Aurora Public Schools, Jefferson County Public Schools and Cherry Creek Schools.
