U.S., Russia foreign ministers meet in Sochi with full agenda of issues

Visiting Russia for the first time as Secretary of State, Mr Pompeo met Mr Putin in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi after talks with Mr Lavrov, during which time they clashed on issues ranging from Ukraine to Venezuela.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that despite that the U.S. side displaying a constructive approach during the meeting, there was no breakthrough.
The move was reportedly a response to Tehran's alleged plans to carry out attacks on USA forces and allies in the Middle East.
