From a chant by fans in a stadium in France, "Equal pay!" is now the essence of a bill introduced by Sen.

"They weren't paid. They got $10 per diem a day". Forbes estimates that the 2018 men's World Cup in Russian Federation brought in $6 billion in revenue compared to an expected total of $131 million for this year's tournament in France. "I'm encouraging everyone to call their Senator and Representatives to help us get this bill passed and finally create a level playing field for all".

The bill comes just a few days after the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (USWNT) won the 2019 FIFA World Cup for the fourth time.

On Sunday, the day of the USA women's national team's victory, a team spokeswoman released a statement that read: "At this moment of tremendous pride for America, the sad equation remains all too clear, and Americans won't stand for it anymore".

The U.S. men's team failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, held in Russian Federation, and will attempt to make the field for the 2022 tournament, to be held in Qatar. The U.S women's World Cup victory came just months after members of the 2015 women's team sued the U.S. Soccer Federation over gender discrimination. The Long Island native learned how to play soccer in Rockville Centre.

US senators have come to both praise members of the World Cup-winning Women's National Soccer Team and to support their quest for higher pay and better working conditions.

During her one-on-one interview on Anderson Cooper 360, the host asked Rapinoe whether her team would accept an invitation to visit the White House, in light of Trump previously saying that he will extend an invite after the game regardless of whether they win or lose. Yet as Team USA itself and many others have pointed out, the world's best female soccer players are not paid almost as much as their male equivalents in soccer or any other major sport. He coaches her team, in addition to coaching in the recreational soccer league he plays in.

"Despite the incredible advancements made by women in sports, female athletes in sports like soccer and hockey are paid significantly less than their male counterparts", Feinstein said in a statement. "You're excluding. Americans that maybe support you", she said. "What you see behind us is not for one person". "You need to do better for everyone".

Members of the USA women's soccer team are waving from floats as fans cheer and wave back during a parade in New York City's Canyon of Heroes.

For Narcotta-Welp, the general solution is simple, especially considering what the US women's soccer team has done for the sport.

After all 28 members of the team received keys to the city, Rapinoe acknowledged the tension and defended Cordeiro during a speech of her own.

The total prize money for the 2022 men's World Cup will be $440 million, while the 2019 women's World Cup doled out $30 million in prize money, including $4 million to the winning team. "At this moment, they are cultural icons and should be paid as such".
