Fox News says the star reportedly died unexpectedly on June 23 in Encino, California, according to Variety. The actress was not married and had no children.

As well as her portrayal of Perim in Star Trek: Insurrection, Stephanie returned to the Star Trek franchise in 2002 after landing the role of The Wraith in Star Trek: Enterprise.

Niznik also participated in volunteering and was engaged in the Four Winds Heart-centric Healing organization for kids and animal rescue.

In 2017, Niznik was among the Everwood stars that reunited at the Television Critics Association in honor of the show's 15th anniversary.

Nina was played by Niznik on the beloved family drama, the Browns' brash neighbor, who at times throughout the series was romantically involved with Andy Brown (Williams). Since 2009, she has been in the movies The Twenty and NCIS, without working on displays or movies.
