CBS All-Access has released the key art for the high-profile series Star Trek: Picard and the images hint that this new iteration of the Star Trek brand will (at least initially) present a grounded tale instead of embracing on planet-hopping quest measured in star dates and light years.

In this new image, Jean-Luc can be seen on (what we assume to be) his family vineyard, with the sun basking the entire landscape in a soft glow.

Featuring Sir Patrick Stewart (X-Men) and a dog looking out over a vineyard, the key art is sure to whip Star Trek fans into a frenzy. Interestingly, right next to the retired captain, a dog wearing a collar and a classic Starfleet badge can be spotted.

Even though not explicitly mentioned, this might also be the place we get to learn more about the Section 31 series.

The series will also star Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Harry Treadaway, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora and Santiago Cabrera.

Ahead of the TV show's Comic-Con panel, CBS All Access has debuted the first poster for Star Trek: Picard.

Check out the Star Trek: Picard poster below. "Star Trek: Discovery" alum Hanelle Culpepper will direct the first two episodes.

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon is the showrunner of the series.

Perhaps more will come when Picard travels to San Diego Comic-Con as part of the Star Trek panel scheduled for Hall H, which will show what Chabon, Stewart and business are doing.

The former Royal Shakespeare Company member last set foot on the Enterprise bridge for 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis, at which point he felt Picard had run his course with the series.
