Hur Mi-jung won the Ladies Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland on Sunday, ending a five-year LPGA win drought.

The Thai player, who won the HUGEL-JTBC LA Open previous year for her first LPGA Tour title, had a 16-under 197 total.

"Gary was very good on Thursday when I bogeyed two holes in a row, he kept telling me I could win", she said.

"It's really all positives from the week and I'd have taken this at the start if it was offered to me, although I can't help but be a little disappointed by two bogeys in the last three holes", said the 27-year-old, who did win the Douglas Lowe Memorial trophy for highest-finishing Scot in both men's and women's versions of the Scottish Open. "I don't think of myself as a good player in bad weather but everybody says I must be".

2017 champion Mi Hyang Lee, posted a round of 68 (-3) to keep herself in the hunt. "He was the same today when I three-putted the third hole".

"Just another pretty solid day", she said.

"Honestly I don't like links courses but after this week I love it", Hur told Sky Sports.

Carly Booth, the 2012 victor, finished as leading Scot in joint-ninth after a closing 71 for 274.

Three further gains from the tenth saw Jutanugarn hit the front for the first time, a position she would not relinquish. "So that's why I've been starting playing a lot better than before".

Low round of the day belonged to Australian 23-year-old Minjee Lee, who went bogey free in a round of 64 (-7). "I had two big numbers on my card and that really finished me".

"This is the only event where I have some family, so it's always nice to come back and play in Scotland. I'm probably going to be quite a few shots back, but obviously that means I can be pretty aggressive and I don't have to leave anything out there".
