Dayton Shooter Was on Cocaine, Alcohol During Massacre, Coroner Reveals

Police have yet to reveal a motive in the shooting, or explain why the alleged gunman killed his sister, but they said his family is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. "The officers were confronted with a moving shooter wearing body armor, actively executing victims with an AR-15-type weapon and high-capacity magazines".

Harshbarger was able to confirm that the nine victims in the shooting were killed by the gunman and, therefore, did not die as a result of officers' response to the gunman's attack.

Autopsies also showed that two other people killed in the shooting were hit by rounds fired by police, although there was evidence to show they had already been fatally shot by the gunman.

The coroner said all fatal gunshot wounds came from Betts' weapon, not police.

Federal charges were filed against Kollie after authorities said he helped purchase and provide the firearms and body armor the shooter used in the attack. In their grief, they presented the son that they knew, which in no way reduces the horror of his last act.

The notice described Betts as a "funny, articulate and intelligent man with striking blue eyes and a kind smile" before it was taken down Wednesday by a funeral home in their hometown of Bellbrook, Ohio.

Not a mention of the truth: The family's original obituary to Connor Betts is pictured above and fails to mention the devastating shooting he launched.

Police engaged Betts roughly 16 seconds after he opened fire on Fifth Street in the crowded bar district, police said Tuesday during a presentation of a video timeline of events.

India plans to ease Kashmir clampdown in next few days
Kashmir has been witnessing restrictions on the movement of people and traffic after the abgrogation of Article 370 . He was arrested in Delhi and taken back to Srinagar , where he was detained under the Public Safety Act .

It's not known whether Betts targeted his 22-year-old sister, Megan.

Surveillance footage released this week, which was pieced together from several local businesses, showed Betts spending almost two hours in the area before his spree began.

A judge has been reviewing where Kollie would stay under house arrest with electronic monitoring and other conditions.

The family of the Dayton, Ohio shooter have apologised for releasing an "insensitive" obituary that fails to mention the "terrible tragedy".

Brian Koch, the owner of the funeral home that posted the obituaries, confirmed their family wrote the tributes.

He "will be missed immensely by his friends, family, and especially his good dog Teddy" the tribute said.

Earlier this week a friend of Betts, 24-year-old Ethan Kollie, was charged in federal court with lying his drug use on a form he filled out to buy a gun and with possession of a firearm by an unlawful user of a controlled substance.
